Apartment building is a typical type of residential forms due to the dense population in cities. Therefore, many people reside in the building and sleep at night. For this reason, apartment building must be safer than other buildings. This research analyzes the statistics of various incidents of fire in apartment buildings. According to the statistical analysis, fire accident is less likely to happen when people mostly go to asleep. However, when fire accident happen while asleep, it makes a higher rate of mortality. We can suggest installing independent alam sensors and address-type sensors to reduce the mortality rate with faster detection of fire. As stated above, this research resolves problems and may aid in establishing the fire safety measures on apartment buildings.
