This paper presents a comparative analysis on effect of participation in elementary extracurricular sport activities after school to physical self-concepts and cognition.
First, sports skills such as physical activity and flexibility and endurance and strength and body-wide etc. is appeared higher to the elementary school students who attend to an extracurricular sport activities than other who do not participate to it.
Second, statistically significant differences are observed depending on participation in extracurricular sport activities, in the perception of the recognition of interest and the atmosphere of the elementary school students, between participation and non-participation.
Third, the physical self-concept and physical education are significantly correlated, depending on whether or not participating after-school sports activities in perception.
Finally, physical self-concept has had a significant impact on physical education awareness and physical self-concept factors are significantly influenced to students who attend to extracurricular sport activities after school. the factor are interested in flexibility, overall body, showed that factors affecting the health and otherwise the appearance factor showed a negative effect. However, students who did not participate in after-school sports activities is found not to affect.
