In this study, The virtual flight system was designed for replicating real flight motion of the solar powered UAV. The virtual flight system evaluate the performance of the main modules, such as solar cell, MPPT, battery and verify the feasibility of long endurance flight. The virtual flight system can monitor the energy flow by measurement of energy production and consumption according to flight motion. The experiment of virtual flight is carried out under real weather conditions, and the experimental result was compared and analyzed with the flight simulation using MATLAB for validation.
