The purpose of this study was to investigate patterns of employees` leisure activities that link to effects of a variety of leisure activities in the employees on job stress. The subjects were 450 women and men, randomly selected from among white-collar occupations. Their ages ranged from 20 to 36years, the self-report questionnaire used. The methods for translating data were SPASS/PC+7.52 version for window and research method were reliability analysis, ANOVA, test-retest analysis, multiple classification, and multiple regression. 1. Analysis on patterns of leisure activities by population statistics peculiarity Gender difference occur in response to interested leisure activities in that males were more likely than females to do physical activities such as sports, whereas females were more interested in educational or artistic event than males. Viewing and appreciation, for instance watching movies, was the common interest in both females and males. 2. The effects of leisure activities on stress from task performance. Role conflict, degree of satisfaction of living state, and promotion factors were influenced by gender difference, welfare factors and wage factors were affected by average income. Education level and housing form affect importance of role or job and role ambiguity. Also response to the stress from role conflict, importance of job, role ambiguity, and atmosphere of workplace managed by participate in social intercourse. Stress on welfare factors and living state satisfaction factors were reduced by educational and artistic events and travel. Stress on promotion factors managed by viewing and appreciation.
