The purpose of this study was to examine one of the variables, ground reaction force, that mostly effect the lower limb during cutting maneuver. The subjects were 5 graduate students with normal legs. The subjects were individually tested running in three different cutting maneuver; running straight ahead after stepping on the force platform, turning 30 degrees to the left, and turning 30 degrees to the right. The raw data were analyzed by LabVIEW Graphical Program and these data were analyzed by ANOVAs. The results of this study were as follows : 1. There were no significant differences among the values of vertical impact force peak and vertical active force peak, and the timing of each peak in all running conditions but the values of vertical impact force peak were higher in changing direction conditions. 2. There were no significant differences among the values of breaking force peak and the timing but the values were higher in changing direction conditions. There were significant differences in the value of propelling force peak and the timing.(p<.05). The value were highest when running straightly and then 30 degrees to the left, and to the right. There were also significant differences transition force timing between breaking force and propelling force(p<.05). The transition force timing was shortest when running straight ahead, turning 30 degrees to the right and to the left. 3. There were no significant differences among the values of contact time but the contact time was longer in changing direction conditions. 4. There were significant differences among the values of maximum loading rate and the timing(p<.05). The values of maximum loading rate were higher in the order of turning 30 degrees to the left, turning 30 degrees to the right, and running straight ahead. The timing of maximum loading rate was shorter in the order of turning 30 degrees to the right, turning 30 degrees to the left, and running straight ahead. 5. There were significant differences among the value of the total impulse(p<.05), scoring higher in turning 30 degrees to the right, turning 30 degrees to the left, and running straight ahead.
