The current study aims to investigate constraining factors of leisure activities of basketball coaches and provide basic data for the development of basketball coaches in Korea by playing their roles to the full as a real coach through promoting the improvement of their leisure activities and welfare. The subjects of the study were all coaches of 220 elementary·middle·high school, university and professional teams registered on KBA(Korean Basketball Association) as of 2005. Samples were abstracted by cluster random sampling. This study used a survey as a measurement tool; the survey questions consists of their personal characteristics, leisure activity participation pattern, leisure activity engagement degree, leisure activity participation degree and leisure constraints. In order to analyze data collected, SPSS 11.0 statistic program was used and the data were processed according to analysis purpose. Statistic methods used for the study were frequencies analysis, Cronbach`s Alpha, t-test, One-way ANOVA, and Scheffe method was used for after test. The leisure restriction according to the sex of the Basketball Coach had the difference to care. The difference according to the age of the which cares to the leisure restriction statistical.
