This research was conducted to provide desirable and basic data for exploring the importance of the leisure activity participation, and increasing the physical health and happiness by elucidating the activity participation in the leisure of the female elderly, and physical health and a sense of happiness. As a result of analyzing the 304 female elderly over 60 year-old, participating in the leisure activity in the Welfare Facility for the Elderly, the conclusion was drawn as followings: First, there was a partial difference in the leisure activity participation, physical health and happiness according to the demographic features of the female elderly. That is, the difference in leisure activity participation, nutrition management, and drinking and smoking management appeared according to age, and the difference in the leisure activity participation, the management of physical strength, smoking and drinking management, and a sense of negative happiness appeared according to the educational background. Second, the leisure activity participation(Intensity) of the female elderly affects the drinking and smoking management. Third, the leisure activity participation(Intensity, Period) of the female elderly affect the drinking and smoking management. Fourth, the physical health(The management of physical strength, drinking and smoking management, and nutrition management) affects a sense of happiness. As a conclusion, it appeared that the leisure activity participation of the female elderly has the considerably important effect on the physical health and a sense of happiness.
