Young Adults! Who are they? Where are they now? In order to understand current young adults in Korea and to find better way of young adult ministry, many scholars and pastors have studied issues of young adult ministry. In the introduction, the author explores various terms regarding young adults: Emerging adult, Youth, Busy generation, Rational individualist, Generation of crisis, Generation of three give-ups (no dating, no marriage, no job), and so on. This article will focus on three areas: 1) Understanding the phenomena of Korean young adults; 2) Understanding the current ministry practices towards Korean young adults; and 3) Future directions in ministry towards Korean young adults. By using research data from different studies, the author explores the phenomena of young adult ministry, young adult perceptions regarding faith and religious life, and current issues among Christian young adults. In particular, the author uses data from the Association of Campus Ministries (2006, 2009, 2012), Park (2005), and Wesley Black (2007) in order to compare Korean young adults and North American young adults in their stated reasons for dropping out of church. The author also compares Protestant Christian young adults and Catholic young adults for their reasons for leaving church. After exploration of the phenomena of young adult Christians, their faith practice in their lives, and their reasons for church attendance and for leaving the church, the author suggests joint programs as a way forward for young adult ministry such as 1) joint programs between youth and young adult ministries within local churches, 2) joint programs and systems between urban churches and rural churches within the same denomination, 3) joint programs and cooperative relationships between local churches and campus ministry organizations/NGOs for college ministries and outreach programs, 4) joint programs and cooperative systems between local churches and military chaplains of the same denomination, in order to keep young adults and young soldiers who are in military service within a structured discipleship model. arapsychology is the scientific and scholarly study of certain unusual events associated with human experience.
