The aim of this study was to investigate the perception level fo Korea sports industry. Five hundred participants who have high concern in sports industry completed the survey and data from 389 of them were analyzed. Multidimensional scaling, multiple response frequency, and ANOVA were used to understand how people perceive Korea sports industry. The MDS results showed that people think USA, UK, Germany, aFnrce, and Japan were higher than Korea in the level of sports industry advancement. In contrast, Taiwan and China were lower than Korea. Noteworthy, Korea was the lowest in global competiveness in sports industry. Additionally in open questionnaire response, Korea was in higher ranking in perception level of national power for sports industry, as compare with world marketing reports. The economic value is the highest and technological competiveness ability is the lowest in 3 different sub-factors of perception for Korea sports industry in ANOVA results. Last, long-range policy for developing global competiveness and strategies for future market needs are useful to create new economic value with sports industry for Korea.
