In order to develop a reliable network protocol, considering the actual operating environment is necessary to verify the functionality and behavior of network protocol, so verifying network protocol is accomplished by modeling and simulation, because protocol model is developed by using framework provided by simulation tool, protocol model can’t execute on the actual target platform. So the actual protocol implementation of the protocol is done separately. Accordingly, the correspondence problem between the protocol model and the actual implementation occurs.
In this paper, to solve these problems, new model development methodology that can be integrated model implementation and actual implementation are proposed. And in order to analysis the effect of methodology, the methodology is applied to 802.11 model of OPNET which is widely used network simulator.
