This study aims to investigate the relationship between enjoyment factor of water sports class as general physical education in college, sports value and exercise adherence. Further, the necessity and purpose of this study is to assess the value of physical education in college and provide scientific raw data that may be used to promote favorable sports value of university students who are willing to participate in water sports during their lifelong period. To this end, we conducted a survey of students who took part in the water sports class in a university located in Gyeonggi Province. From the statistical analyses of the data, the study reached the following conclusions: Firstly, the enjoyment factor of water sports class as general physical education in college has a positive impact on sports value. Secondly, the enjoyment factor of water sports class as general physical education in college has a positive impact on exercise adherence. Lastly, sports value does not have significant influence on exercise adherence. Through the aforementioned conclusions, we could substantively verify that students’ correct sports value and their motives for exercise participation should be encouraged by making best use of water sports class involving enjoyment factor. As a method to attract university students’ continual participation in sports activities, we will recommend them to actively take part in environment-friendly general physical classes including as water sports, thereby contributing to nurturing healthy members of society in future.
