Historical flow of consilience can be also found in Performing Arts with attempts in joining various types of medium. Establishing our identity and delivering persuasive meaning to the public is the most important thing in production environment with mixed-media. From a visual designer"s view, a distinct purpose and identity is the base for the harmony of perfection and high quality outputs. Clear understanding on their own field and superb execution abilities are necessary including interactive communication skills and they often need to outlook the results after all the interactions. Adjusting suggestions derived from collaborative work to suit the intent and purpose of the total art work means the success of the work. In other words, deriving specific production methods and adjusting and performing them to distinct intention is very important.
This research expresses the importance of academic research on production technology as well as research on production process from the perspective of participants in production.
Researches of producers on production technology explaining whole production process is very rare compare to researches with theoretical evaluation on performed works through media. Production research is needed for expansion and qualitative development for video production for stage. This research explains the meaning for presence of moving image on stages and required elements for this type of video production based on previously performed works from a view of a video producer and designer.
In addition, our activity range expanse to world stage now, meaning of presence for Korean cultural heritage and newness is required from artists and public. This research is about presenting concepts according to the uniqueness of era, and various production methods and applied cases in performances focusing on analysis of space and time based on number of works as examples that has been produced until recently.
I am expecting new understanding on video production for performance as a producer, and hope this paper could be used as basis material for establishing and developing the field of moving image for stage.
