The significance of the pressed flower lies in that it is an art form that expresses by preserving the natural color and form which human cannot reproduce. Pressed flower is an art form that best expresses the mutual spiritual consensus between nature and humans.
While a flower in its natural form enhances the emotions by visual, smell and touch, pressed flowers make it possible to preserve its natural beauty and be a part of the everyday aesthetics by applying them to accessories and household items.
Pressed flowers are the product of the universal desire to preserve plants beyond its natural limits.
It is a form of flower design started from the flower arrangement. Flower arrangements have a preservation time problem but pressed flowers are limited to two dimensions. To overcome these difficulties preserved flower, solid flower which preserves the flower in its natural form have been developed. In this way the flower art field is expanding and pressed flower art is receiving attention as a method of horticultural treatment.
