The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of participation level of pilates on quality of life with feminine attractiveness and self-esteem as a mediating variable by utilizing path analysis. The subjects of this study were the 239 women who were doing pilates. Moreover, this study also analyzed the data collected through path model in order to examine the effect of period and time of pilates on quality of life and the indirect effect of personal attractiveness and self-esteem. To this end, this study conducted frequency analysis, mean, skewness and kurtosis test and correlation analysis by utilizing SPSS WIN 21.0 program. In addition, this study utilized AMOS 21.0 for path analysis and examined RMSEA, SRMR, NNFI and CFI as well as x2 to determine for judging the goodness of fit for the model. Also, this study utilized bootstrapping to verify the statistical significance for the indirect effect of variables. As a result thereof, this study first found that participation level of pilates would have a positive impact on feminine attractiveness, whereas feminine attractiveness would have a positive impact on self-esteem. Moreover, self-esteem was found to have a positive impact on quality of life. All of the findings thereof were statistically significant. Second, this study verified the significance of indirect effect of personal physical attractiveness and self-esteem in relation to the relationship between participation of pilates and quality of life. As a result thereof, it was found to be statistically significant. That is to say, feminine attractiveness will increase depending on participation level of pilates. Consequently, self-esteem will also increase, thereby improving quality of life eventually. These results prove the psychological effect of exercise indirectly. On this account, it is required to conduct a follow-up study to determine whether the results thereof can be proved in other exercise types.
