The purpose of this research is to identify factors for lasting relationship among the members of the soccer community that has been continued for long period and to examine how the factors are formed and how they are operated. To realize the purpose of the research, the soccer communities located in Seoul that are registered to Korea Council of Sport for All and have been maintained for over 15 years were selected as the research subjects and documents, interviews and data from non-participant observation were collected. To analyze the collected data, the information contained in the documents were confirmed and analyzed in terms of general status, bylaw and members information; transcription, coding and theme-generating method by Yeongcheon Kim(2006) were applied to the interviews and non-participant observation. Data integrity was verified through subject reviews, discussion among the experts and colleagues, multi-lateral verification and on-site note technique. The research result can be divided into two parts. The first part is regarding relationship lasting factor and forming mechanism. The relationship lasting factors in the soccer communities that have been continued for long period were trust and reciprocal norms. The result regarding how the factors are formed and operated is as follows. The first one is trust-forming mechanism in which trust is built through 3 steps: recognizing issues and necessity in improving relationship among the members; getting familiar with reciprocal relationship among the members; and forming the mood of trust. The next one is reciprocal norms and forming mechanism. Reciprocal norms are in form of game rules and community rules; and the related rules are formed by recognizing necessity, forming conscious norms and getting familiar with the norms. The second is relationship between trust and reciprocal norms and relationship-forming mechanism. Trust and reciprocal norms are inseparable and such relationship is formed by the two connected to each other and creating positive reactions.
