Through the investigation of the item of 'family names', it was found that understanding the kinds of family name became simple, and the number of the origin of family names got decreased as getting closer to the late Joseon. It is understood that the origin of family names was separated from the real place of residence. In case of Gyodong, Incheon, Bupyeong, the targets of recording was only family names that came from their towns. Meanwhile, case of Ganghwa included all the people who were living in their towns. This empathized the necessity of more precise examine than the process of compiling local geography. Probably, it shows us Gangdobuji, which is the geography of Ganghwa province, to have its own character as information. Meanwhile, through the case of Yeongjong, we could research the origin of family names of which people were living in that town in the late Joseon. Through the investigation of the item of individuals, there was a speciality of the district that produced many people related in integrity during the Manchu Invasions in Korea in 1636. Moreover, we could infer the position of the staff, who wanted to use the Manchu Invasions in Korea in 1636 as the chance of education, for compilation, that fact could not only apply for Ganghwa, but also for others. Then, we could understand the information, Yeojidoseo, with the recognition of 'family names' and 'individuals' in Incheon province. Also we could find that Yeojidoseo was not consisted by a sole regularity and made in lack of variety. We also found that the limited place of Incheon had differences in standards by each localities, as there were the case which recorded separately the origin of the family names from the real place of residence, or there were the case which recorded in resident-centered and these cases showed up everywhere with no rules. Through the many differences from each province, we could grasp the clue for the process of compiling Yeojidoseo, especially, Gangdobuji could be valuable information for understanding the facts. Its rich contents will help many people understand and study local history in the future.
