The purpose of this paper is to analyze the understanding degree on adverbs. It focuses on Middle School Textbooks. Generally, adverbs are considered in easy grammar pattern to learners. There are many kinds of adverbs in English. Adverbs are divided into manner adverbs, place adverbs, time adverbs, frequency adverbs, and sentence adverbs. Many students understand adverbs in these order and they are expressed such order in English Textbook, Especially, students understand and use the frequency adverb very well, They said that frequency adverbs are easier to understand than other adverbs, However, Many students should learn and know adverbs thoroughly through Middle School English Textbooks. Adverbs are the expression of showing the sentential meaning and they are very important things in finding out the sentence`s meaning.
