This study aims at analyzing the impacts the rehabilitation exercises for senior citizens called electric stimulation therapy (EMS) after exercising have on the improvements of low body strength and equilibrium, or balance ability. This experiment was carried out to gain basic data for the effective elderly rehabilitation exercises. Its subjects are the old people over the age of 65 of the Health Club in Jeonju. The pre-experimental data and post-experimental data of the measuring parameters were analyzed by using SPSS 18. program, and the mean and standard deviation of the measuring parameters were assessed, standard deviation, T-test, paired samples T-test, independent sample T-test. As a result, first, after 8 weeks of exercises for strengthening low body muscular in both experiment group and control group the maximum torque showed its significant differences at the time of straight and bending. Second, after 8 weeks of the muscular exercise of low body muscular also in both experiment group and control group muscular endurances has been improved. Third, after 8 weeks of the muscular exercise just in the experimental group the dynamic equilibrium has been a little enhanced.
In short, female weak senior citizens who hardly conduct heavy weight training or have difficulty walking freely and for a long time can also enhance low body muscular by the use of EMS. That"s a kind of the best exercise for senior citizens in general to strengthen muscular power.
