Currently, Marine leisure industry are led by United States and Europe. Due to the economic development in semi-develop countries and developing countries, the demand for yachts is increasing and the size of marine leisure market is growing accordingly day by day. Especially, despite global economic crisis, the super-yachts industry is typical highly value-added markets of the marine leisure industry, which is not as a cost-oriented ass-production, but as a quality-oriented masterpiece production. Therefore, it is attracting special attention and has been recorded a steady growth. In this paper, in order to understand the general status of super-yacht, yearly order status, industrial situation of major shipbuilding countries and main specifications of super-yachts being built were analyzed. Particularly, the analysis was focused on the industrial situations of Turkey and China whose technologies are developing and average project length of super-yacht are also increasing. Through the analysis, for the purpose of promotion of domestic marine leisure industry and the penetration into the world markets, we suggested and emphasized the necessity of super-yacht related technology development and countermeasures for the market competition among countries surrounding the world market.
