Laparoscopic anatomical liver resection still presents major technical difficulties, such as pedicle control. The extrahepatic glissonean pedicle approach has the advantages of less intraoperative bleeding, shorter operative time, and better oncological outcomes in our and other previous studies. We here review our early experience with laparoscopic anatomical liver resection by using extrahepatic glissonean pedicle control. We retrospectively reviewed the records of 12 patients who underwent laparoscopic anatomical liver resection through extrahepatic glissonean pedicle approach at Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital of Korea, between May 2015 and February 2016. After laparoscopic extrahepatic glissonean pedicle control, liver mobilization and parenchymal transection were done by Harmonic scalpel and CUSA. There were 12 patients in this study.
