Objective: The aim of this study is to examine the correlation between the cognitive function and driving performance. Background: Driving is not a simple task, but a task that requires complex cognitive functions and motor-cognitive coordination. The driving capabilities of people with brain impairments, affected by either cerebrovascular diseases or impairments in various areas of the brain, generally decline. Therefore, it is necessary to study the correlation between cognitive function and driving performance. Method: 9 Stroke patients participated in driving training. Cognitive functions was assessed by CPAD(Cognitive Perceptual Assessment Driving). Driving training was performed for 5 days for two hours. Driving evaluation was evaluated before and after Driving training. The correlation between the cognitive function and driving performance was analyzed. Results: Before driving training, driving evaluation and cognitive function showed no significant correlation. However, driving evaluation and cognitive function showed significant correlation After driving training. Conclusion: As a result, the cognitive assessment was useful to identifying the driving performance. Application: The cognitive assessment must assess before driving rehabilitation.
