The purpose of this study was to investigate the developmental characteristics of running motions, the kinematic factors of mastering running course, and the course of development in running performance with increasing age in children. It will present the kinematic data of the textbook on running teaching in kindergarten and elementary school. The subjects included 40 males and 40 females(80persons) ranging in age from 6 to 12 years in kindergarten and elementary school. The length of running path varied dependent upon the age group. A high speed of 16mm cinecamera operating at a frame rate of 60fps was employed in the filming.. Running motions were analyzed among different groups of sex and age groups using kinematic parameters These data were statistically analyzed by imagery analysis of computing system. The results were summarized as follows: 1. The landing of foot took Place from heel. 2. The forward swing leg showed more excessive larger than the center of gravity of the body. 3. It deed that the control of trunk at landing and take-off phases favored moving, so it compensated fir an insufficient muscular strength of lower extremities. 4. Knee angle at take-off was much larger than that of touch dawn. 5. It showed that outputs of mechanic 8c enemy were produced in proportion to increasing velocity with age in terms of the phenomena of relative movement in each part of lower extremities for the center of gravity.
