With the development of knowledge-based economy, regional economic development and the relationship between the local ethnic colleges and universities even more closely, the two are an interdependent, symbiotic relationship. When the regional economic development and the formation of their own economic characteristics, the urgent need for higher education and its fit for service. However, there exist some local colleges and universities in the development of national development goals blind positioning, lack of school characteristics, profit-driven and service-oriented educational function confusion and other issues. Therefore, the article from the problems start to Yanbian University, for example, put forward reasonable suggestions on the analysis of local colleges and universities problem locating ethnic basis.
