This study deals with how to make a decision efficiently with respect to managerial strategies of agriculture at a local level, and a case to apply the outcomes to Muju-Gun in Jeollabuk-do. The method is Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) for this study. According to the structural analysis of local agriculture in Muju-Gun, the current status of local agriculture was examined, and sub-items of development strategies of local agriculture were selected by collecting opinions from various classes. Based on this, 30 local experts were selected and classified them into three groups: public official, farmer, and expert. Then, comprehensively analysing weighted values of development strategy class I, priorities are listed as follows: upgrading strategic plants, diversifying local agriculture, re-allocation for sustainable agricultural structure, organizing local food system, and enhancing foundations for agricultural society. Next, by analysing weighted values of development strategy class II, priorities are listed as follows: increasing expertise of integrated marketing, liking to local food processing companies, supply of human recourses and enhancing capabilities, expanding high-quality production foundations, and combined industrialization of resources in agricultural villages. Last, development strategy class III are: nurturing agricultural food companies and expanding contract farming, increasing expertise of joint cooperative corporations, developing producer organizations focusing on distribution, expanding supports to production foundations of strategic plants and securing labors for agriculture and establishing support systems.
