Endeavoring to comprehend Christian curriculum in relation to human temporality and eternity, this paper approaches curriculum development with two teloi: for the people of God to conform to the image of Christ and to advance God’s Kingdom in every sphere of their lives. With the theological tenets of the Imago-Dei, the Kingdom, and the Creation as its backdrop, this model re-envisions the six categories of Dee Fink’s taxonomy of Significant Learning for a Christian curriculum development as followings: appreciation for God’s creation; redemption; Christ’s lordship; knowledge of God, self, and neighbors; a calling in God’s Kingdom; and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. Built on this model, the authors provide an assessment grid and concrete steps for curriculum designers to follow.
