The purpose of this study was to investigate an influence of the difference of habitats on breeding success of Varied Tit(Parus varius). To achieve this goal, this study implemented field surveys in two different habitats, Namcheon Valley and Geumseon Valley, in Sobaeksan National Park, during the breeding season from April to July in 2016. The rate of nest-box occupation was higher in Namcheon Valley than in Geumseon Valley. Clutch size was also significantly larger in Namcheon Valley than in Geumseon Valley. However, both rates of hatching success and breeding success did not show statistically significant difference between two habitats. Food supply(the amount of caterpillar) caused larger clutch size in Namcheon Valley. The difference of population density in two habitats made no significant differences in the rates of hatching success and breeding success.
