The purpose of this paper is to examine the concept of superman from the point of life force in Man and Superman by George Bernard Shaw. Shaw believed that woman can play the role of creating superman who can advance the future of mankind with intellectual man like Tanner. He considers the concept of life force which is the impetus for the birth of superman as the ultimate destination where all humans should pursue for advanced human society through creative evolution. Shaw and F. Nietzsche deserve to be compared from the attitude of life in the way that they suggest the concept of superman as the will to power. Nietzsche"s nihilism is required to be understood as an affirmative aspect not negative. In conclusion, Shaw and Nietzsche believed that the existence of superman has the power to develop and advance the present life. In other words, they commonly recognize the importance on present life and positive will for superman in reality.
