Elderly respect hall is a unique leisure place for the Korean elderly. The concept of the Elderly Respect Halls or Kyung-Ro-Dang in Korean is emerging as a new place for substitute hoe, where majority of the older adults spend as much daytime as they do at home. This is a follow up pilot study, in which general member users and each hall leaders among 144 halls were interviewed. Regarding major management support in Korea, almost 67 percent of the hall received nearly no support from community local office. Regarding perceptions on financial support needs, majority of the respondents ranging 50 - 65% agree that Korean senior citizen halls need financial support differentiated by management outcome. Even though we cannot find significant socioeconomic variances, about 10-20 percent respondents felt needs for maintenance of the hall structure and job(or part time work) search assistance programs, Minimum supports are only 14 percent that they receive once or twice a month from the community office, Major support are teaching illiterate elderly about how to read and write. Senior citizens have a lot of time on their hands. We expect more active support for them from community local groups.
