This study is to identify the RTE competency factors that may affect the enhancement of RTE competence and to identify the RTE competence to implement the RTE and to ascertain that the RTE competency can be secured and improved to the supply chain performance. The RTE competency was selected as environmental uncertainty, supply chain orientation, and market orientation. Agility, visibility, forecasting ability, and information system were selected as RTE competencies. Financial performance and non-financial performance were selected as the supply chain performance.
As a result of the hypothesis test, most of the RTE competency precedents had a positive (+) effect on the RTE competency. In addition, RTE competence has a positive (+) effect on supply chain performance, and RTE competence is not found to play a role as a parameter between RTE competency preceding factor and supply chain performance. As a result of the research hypothesis, the environmental uncertainty, supply chain orientation, and market orientation influence firms’ ability to increase agility, visibility, forecasting ability, and information system ability as RTE competencies, and RTE competence as financial performance and non-financial performance. It is confirmed that it affects the improvement of achievement performance. Therefore, companies with high perception level of environmental uncertainty, high supply-chain orientation and market orientation tend to be more interested in enhancing RTE-related competencies and confirming that raising RTE capacity can lead to enhancement of supply chain performance, and the need for RTE capacity enhancement.
