The purpose of this research is to identify the differences of perceived constraints between Korean, Japanese, and Chinese who participated in conventions held in Korea. By conducting EFA and CFA, constraint factors were developed as constraints from lack of information, interpersonal constraints, time constraints, and structural constraints. Furthermore, MANOVA was conducted in order to achieve the objective of the research. The results showed that there were differences among three countries in every constraints factors. Most of all, Chinese attendees experienced more than Korean and Japanese in every constraint factors. From this results it assumes because of the characteristics of their country. This research has its significance in giving practical implications by analyzing constraints from the convention attendees` points of view. The study, however, has several limitations. The serious shortcoming of this study is lack of creativity developing constraints applied only to convention characteristics. In the future research, constraints should be developed appropriate to the convention industry.
