The purpose of this study is to explore the causal relations of the templestay experience and the overall satisfaction, and also examine if differences of the causal relations exist between local citizen and foreign participants. Templestay experience in this study is consisted of 4 factors: interaction in nature, self-development, education, and relaxation. Data was collected from 1,070 templestay participants in 37 temples designated for templestay operations. A series of regression analyses was performed to test research hypothesis. The findings show that the level of templestay satisfaction depends on how participants perceive the experience factors in their templestay. Futhermore, findings demonstrate that the causal relations of the templestay experience and the overall satisfaction differ between nationalities. Especially, ``relaxation`` and ``interaction in nature`` experience in local citizen participants have stronger effects on experience satisfaction, in comparison with a group of foreign participants. Whereas, ``education`` experience has an effect on experience satisfaction, only in a group of foreign participants.
