The purpose of this study is first, we study the characteristics of trend color information through the theoretical examination. Second, Trend of single colors and color combinations analyze distribution tendency and usage characteristics. We selected 10 seasons of 2011F/W-2016S/S as a research scope, and examined the 10 seasons and obtained 218 single colors and 240 color combination samples. After collecting the trend book and samples, it was analyzed by dividing the characteristics of the single color and color combination into hue, lightness, and chroma with the measured lab values. Findings of the study are as follows: First, single colors showed different color usage characteristics by season of S / S and F / W. The color combinations was able to examine the temporal continuity of each season rather than seasonal characteristics. Therefore, it is suggested that single color information is classified and used by season, and color combination information is used continuously without classifying it as a season. Second, In seasonal color planning, it is also necessary to consider not only the trend color but also the change direction of the basic color. color was not a only single color, but it was affected by the surrounding color. Therefore, it is expected that basic color will be used more effectively by changing the color direction through trend information. Third, it is more advantageous to utilize the information by analyzing the trend color information into three attributes of hue, lightness, and chroma in fashion. we found that lightness and chroma are used for different purposes. Especially, we could use the lightness to express the seasonal feeling and use the chroma to express the theme image. This study has limitations in the number of data to identify periodic properties. It is also necessary to analyze the factors of the social-cultural phenomenon before these changes are made, and more data should be tracked so that the circulation rings can be found.
