As an expression of space, water is used in a variety of indoor environments. Depending on the purpose of using water, space using water also forms an organic relationship with the indoor environment, thus influencing human perception. The space is no longer just a form, but also a space for rest and treatment, and it is now expanding to specialized medical care and treatment areas. In this regard, the process of retrogression and progression due to physical change, both of which have occurred at the same time, is the treatment of the mind and body for the particular target, which consumes a lot of energy. The introduction of natural factors in postnatal care centers provides mothers with a sense of psychological satisfaction through their underlying feelings about nature. Water, in particular, is a natural element that brings a sense of life to the interior with the possibility of its infinite movement.
Therefore, this study plans to colonize the boundaries between water and space to communicate the water and space that have been separated and prepared. The effects of water also allow for the introduction of water perceptual expression factors at the postpartum care center to create an effective indoor space for mothers and newborns by considering the characteristics of water according to the user`s emotional flow.
