This research is a basic research for developing a submerged pump technology applicable to transfer and storage of a cryogenic liquid system, and the purpose is to secure baseline design data through applying reverse engineering to the process for developing a cryogenic submerged pump. The 2-Stage Model included in the LNG Submerged Pump ARTICK Series produced by Vanzetti from Italy was selected as the subject for developing a localized product, and the subject was disassembled for reverse engineering. The subject was disassembled after analyzing its processing/assembly status such as shrinkage fitting. In addition, a material analysis was conducted to analyse the materials used for manufacturing the main components, and the ingredients were confirmed. As a result, a design drawing for each component required for developing the product was secured through the foundation design, and a test product was manufactured through maximizing application of the applicable domestic technologies. As a result of conducting a modal analysis of the impeller and shaft, the resonance frequency of the impeller and shaft playing an important role in the rotor was confirmed. As a result of conducting a modal analysis of the rotor, it was confirmed that the forcing frequency has no influence on the resonance phenomenon.
