The purpose of this study is to recognize the increasing number of empty houses in the city as a component of the utilization of residential property, and to obtain data necessary to develop a highly effective residential regeneration plan by classifying the types of empty housing.
The research method is analyzes the current status of empty housing projects (a total of 199 sites) in Daegu Metropolitan City, and then identifies the characteristics of empty housing at the planning stage by reviewing the classification of residential areas and their use.
According to the study, the types of empty houses were classified into two sections (steel type, recycling type), five divisions (parking area, vegetable garden and flower garden, exercise facilities, rental housing business, company dormitary recycling.), nine classes (commercial area type, residential type, vegetable garden, flower garden, ssamji park, exercise facilities, exercise facilities and rest facilities, recycling for the same purpose, and recycling for other purposes).
