Low Visibility account for significant portion of weather delays and affect punctuality of flight. Particulate matter (PM) plays a critical role in visibility impairment by scattering light. In this study, the effect of PM₁₀ and PM₂.₅ on the visibility is evaluated at Incheon International Airport and the surrounding area including the interaction between PM₁₀ or PM₂.₅ and weather variables for the days that both of PM₁₀ and PM₂.₅ are observed. The hourly weather observation data from Incheon Airport for two years (2015-16) and PM concentration data from the nearest air quality monitoring station are collected.
