This is HyDDI(Hypertension Diabetes Daegu Initiative) Project nutritional program as the prevention of community cardiocerebrovascular diseases. It has started as a nutritional education program connected with clinics. The dietitians training programs were reinforced, followed by the establishment of training centers and the development and application of staged education and follow-up programs. In the practice-oriented staged education program, compared with theory-based basic one, on the basis of educational needs of patients and educators, there were significant difference in clinical outcome, food habit, self-efficacy, knowledge, attitude, practice, stage of behavior. Follow-up program were effective in the improvement of weight, waist circumference and eating behavior. A continued management would lead to the prevention of cardiocerebro vascular diseases in the community.
