The logistics service market has been continuously growing in Korea in comparisons with other industry fields. Nowadays, auction is universally applied to order decision in most of industry fields for collusion prevention. In logistics service auction is also emerging as a fair ordering method. The objective of the study is to develop bidding policies based on the terms of the transportation contract auction for the logistics companies to overcome more severe competition. A statistical analysis on bidding policies for minimum feasible price auction is carried out for increasing probability and expected value for wining bid according to various scenarios. An illustrative example problem is performed for demonstrating its applicability with the real-world situation for steel transportation auction.
