Natural material (leather, wood, metal and marble) finishing is widely used in product and interior design. One of the important aspect of these materials is the ‘visual temperature’ of warm-ness and cool-ness that leads to the whole sensibility. The purpose of this study is to find out the ‘visual temperature’ by mix and matching the natural finishing materials. Firstly, we examined the ‘visual temperature’ on single materials; leather, wood, metal, and marble. Secondly, we combined two finishing materials with same area ratio and as a result, the warm-ness between the two materials was that leather was higher than wood, wood was than metal, and leather was than metal. For cool-ness, marble was stronger than metal, metal was than leather, and metal was than wood. Thirdly, for the area ratio was adjusted as 12.5%: 87.5% and the ‘leather+metal’ combination having the cool-ness was switched to the warm when the area ratio of leather was 87.5%. For ‘visual temperature,’ the combination of similar colors was considered a priority to indicate a warm-ness other than the used material. Also, higher contrast among the materials increased the cool-ness.
