Using the analytic model of technology diffusion effect based on the input-output table, this study purposes to estimate technology diffusion effects of the aerospace manufacturing industry.
The estimated results show that compared to other manufacturing industries, the aerospace manufacturing industry has significantly high technology integration effect well above the industry average. The aerospace manufacturing industry also leads other manufacturing industries in terms of technology diffusion effect. These findings imply that in order to develop new growth engines for the future, the government needs to plan and execute the industrial policies to boost the aerospace manufacturing industry.
