The article aimed to analyze the outstanding characteristics of male protagonist. Dokmai sot is a well-known Thai novelist since 1920s, and whose works has been influential to the current Thai novelists. The findings reveal that there were three outstanding characteristics of male personification. Firstly, the idealistic male of modern people was influenced by western concepts. Secondly, male had both good and bad sides from the influence of realist novels. And final characteristic was male who was adaptable to economic changes when the Thai aristocrats faced the economic changes during 1930s. To go beyond the old customs caused the difference and colors for the male protagonist in Dokmai sot's works. However, though western influences caused much change in Dokmai sot's creation of male character, the ideal male of Dokmai sot was still the aristocrats who loved the nation, religion and monarch, and were ready to sacrifice themselves for collective benefits.
