In order to investigate the effects of zinc gluconate and magnetized water treated with HI-Scalper153R on body performance of broiler chicks, a feeding trial was conducted with a total of 162 broiler chicks. Each treatment had 18 chicks with 3 replications. The supplementation level of zinc gluconate and zinc gluconate magnetized water(magnetized water) was 0.2% in the experimental diets. The results obtained were summarized as follows: Average body weight gain was significantly(p=0.017) increased more in broiler chicks fed with zinc gluconate and magnetized water than in control. Especially, body weight gain was higher in the treatment with magnetized water than in other treatments. Average feed intake was not significantly(p=0.046) different in treatments. Feed efficiency was significantly(p=0.001) improved in broiler chicks fed with zinc gluconate and magnetized water by each period, compared to that of control. Therefore, the efficiency of chicks fed with zinc gluconate and magnetized water was increased by 4.7% and 6.2%, respectively, compared to that of control. In addition, at the starting periods, the feed efficiency of magnetized water treatment was increased more by 9%, compared to that of control (1.83 vs 1.66). In conclusion, the dietary feed of zinc gluconate and magnetized water tended to improve the body weight gain and feed efficiency. Especially, the treatment with magnetized water produced higher body weight gain and feed efficiency than other treatments did.
