This study researches the meaning and usage of exclamation ‘eo’. The word, exclamation ‘eo’ is indicated the highest frequency in the colloquialism corpus and used as many exclamation’s types. So, exclamation ‘eo’ has the representativeness of exclamation class. This study explains exclamation ‘eo’ in existing word class and grammar systems and discusses two issues. First, what functions exclamation ‘eo’ have. Second, whether or not exclamation ‘eo’ is distinguished depending on genre of colloquialism. In conclusion, this study aims to examine how discuss exclamation category such as exclamation ‘eo’. It is significant that this study analyzes colloquial exclamation not checked accurately in established studies. Also established studies analyze exclamation by function in conversation. On the other hand this study analyzes corpus and exclamation by function and meaning and reveals differences depending on genre of colloquialism.
