This paper aims to analyse Thailand Government’s policies to managing migrant workers from neighbouring countries, including Myanmar, Lao and Cambodia. Thailand Government is concerned with the problem from many perspectives, such as national security, human security, and human rights, and social protection. However, laws and regulations are not fully enforced. As a result, migrant workers are vulnerable to human trafficking and their basic human rights continue to be seriously compromised both in the workplace and at the hands of Thai authorities. In the workplace, reported abuses include rape, verbal abuse, battery, withholding of pay, subjection to dangerous work environment and long working hours, among others. To solve above problems, I suggest that these problems can be overcome to ensure compliance with international norms, and thus the responsibility of Thailand government to its’ migrant workers. And judical process should be provided for migrant workers who seek legal assistance, and laws towards managing migrant workers in Thailand should be seriously enforced.
