The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of personal color systems through the comparative analysis of the skin colors according to the seasonal type. 200 Korean women in 20's were diagnosed seasonal types by UK(United Kingdom), Japanese, Korean and German personal color drapes and measured their skin color by using Minolta CM-700d. The data were analyzed by statistical methods. As a result of the study, it is presented that Korean personal color system most certainly classifies seasonal types according to L*(lightness) among these personal color systems. German personal color system most classifies seasonal type according to a*(redness) among these personal color systems. Korean personal color system most certainly classifies seasonal types according to b*(yellowness) among these personal color systems. However Korean personal color system shows b*(yellowness) of winter type as the highest value in seasonal types. This does not follow the previous theories of personal color. This study analyzed the characteristics of personal color systems through the comparative analysis of the skin colors according to the seasonal type.
