Support for multitasking environments and a smart phone with a new interface design in the use of the more cognitive information processing is required.There are difficulties in Smartphone adoption and diffusion of older people, by incompletion in research and product development of elderly's cognitive, and physical characteristics, and access to and acceptance of new information and communication devices. For convenient and easy to use smartphone of elderly,aninitial research is needed to be the basis of UI design.
In this study, limited to research a range of interface design, for difficulties to use smartphone Interface of over 65 years of age. Based on this creates a new design improvements presented design guidelines for smartphone's UI design for the elderly.
In UI design for seniors in easy to use smartphones, it's important to design distinguishable small visual objects in close.There are required appropriate adjustments in text and icon size, color distinguish, brightness, etc.it's needed Simple structure and an intuitive visual representation and reducing the information provided on a screen at the same time and the speed of movement because that has been found problem of cognitive about the use of unfamiliar UI, tactile, slowing concentration and memory in a multitasking environment.We should expect to narrow the gap of information of alienation and to improve the utilization of smartphone interface design for the elderly through this study.
