The objectives of this study are to investigate and analyze the perceptions of foreigners who have received domestic medical service about the service quality.
To achieve these objectives, as a conceptual framework of the study, the concept of medical tourism product and previous major studies on the factors influencing satisfaction level of medical service were reviewed, and the empirical studies on the opinions of foreigners who have received domestic medical service about the service quality were conducted. According to the findings of this study, the following suggestions were presented to the domestic health care and related institutions.
First, domestic medical institutions are required to have regular service education classes for their interns and residents, and the medical association are needed to provide the doctors with ongoing guidance for improvement of their service mind. Second, to improve communication problem, government and medical institutions should make efforts to train and supply experts who have language skill and professionalism in medical service and tourism. Third, domestic medical institutions are required to improve their service procedures through comparing with overseas advanced medical institutions' those. Fourth, dermatology which was low estimated comparatively in satisfaction level should try to enhance its service quality by comparing with other departments'.
