감전에 인한 심장의 손상은 전류의 종류, 전압, 전류에 노출된 시간, 감전 당시 신체의 저항에 따라 손상의 정도가 다른 것으로 알려져 있다[1]. 저전압에서의 심장성 급사의 원인은 심실세동으로 고전압에서는 광범위한 심근 손상에 의한 무수축이 심장성 급사의 원인이 되는 것으로 추정된다[1,2]. 반면 감전에 의한 방실결절의 손상은 무증상의 1도 방실전도차단부터 영구형 인공심장박동기 거치술을 필요로 하는 고도 방실전도차단까지 다양한 형태의 전도장애를 유발할 수 있는 것으로 보고되었다[3-5]. 저자들은 교류전기 감전이후 발생한 가역적인 진행된 2도 방실전도차단(advanced second degree atrioventricular block)을 경험하였으며 이를 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.
