쇼그렌 증후군을 가지고 있는 환자들에게서 중추신경계의 신경학적 증상이 나타나는 경우 다발성 경화증과 유사하게 나타날 수 있어 감별이 필요하다고 알려져 있고, 문헌에보고된 대부분의 신경학적 증상을 나타내는 쇼그렌 증후군환자들은 최종적으로 쇼그렌 증후군에서 중추신경계를 침범한 것으로 진단이 되었다. 저자들은 쇼그렌 증후군이 진단된환자에서 신경학적 증상이 발생하면서 다발성 경화증이 동반된 것으로 진단된 증례를 경험했기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.
