본 연구는 후향적 방법을 통해 ziprasidone의 자연적인 임상적 경험을 평가하고자 하였다. 주요 소견으로 ziprasidone은 일차선택약제로 보다는 기존 항정신병약물의 교체시 주로 사용되어졌으며, 기존 약제의 불충분한 치료효과 및 부작용, 특히 체중증가가 주된 교체사유였다. 임상적 호전에 있어서는 CGI-I 점수상 약간 또는 상당한 호전을 보였으며, 안정성 면에서 ziprasidone 교체 후 의미있는 체중감소를 보였고, QT 간격의 연장에 있어서도 1예를 제외하고는 QT 간격의 의미있는 변화는 보이지 않았다. 그러나 추체외로부작용은 기존 보고보다 다소 높은 빈도로 경험하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
